The Bag Drop

Overview

The Bag Drop is a new product-based brand built around a simple but overlooked problem: how to properly transport a golf bag in the bed of a pickup truck. The founder developed the Tailgate Caddie, a patent-protected solution designed specifically for truck owners who play golf.

Gingersnap Creative Co. was brought in to transform an early-stage concept into a fully realized brand—developing a cohesive identity, messaging strategy, and digital presence to support the product’s debut at the Michigan Golf Show.

The Challenge

The Bag Drop was entering the competitive golf product market with a brand-new product and no established identity. While the concept was strong, the brand lacked:

  • A professional, scalable logo system

  • A defined brand personality and voice

  • Clear messaging to communicate the product’s value

  • Marketing materials to support an in-person launch

  • A website to educate potential customers and capture interest

Additionally, the timeline was tight. The brand needed to feel credible, cohesive, and market-ready in time for the 2026 Michigan Golf Show—where the product would be introduced to the public for the first time.

The Solution

I developed a complete brand and marketing foundation designed to position The Bag Drop as a legitimate, product-driven company—not just a one-off invention.

Brand Identity & Logo Design

A refined logo system was created, including a primary mark and badge logo, designed to feel timeless, rugged, and aligned with both truck culture and modern golf branding.

Brand Strategy & Messaging

We defined the brand personality as practical, straightforward, and purpose-driven—grounded in real-world use rather than hype. Key messaging pillars were developed to clearly communicate the problem, solution, and benefits of the Tailgate Caddie.

Website Design & Development

A clean, one-page scrolling website was designed to introduce the product, tell the brand story, and guide users through a clear narrative—from problem to solution. The site was built to capture email addresses and generate early interest, with a structure that can easily transition into a full e-commerce experience once production scales.

Marketing & Social Media Assets

A suite of social media graphics and promotional materials were created to support the product launch, build awareness, and drive traffic leading up to and during the Michigan Golf Show.

The Results

The Bag Drop successfully launched at the Michigan Golf Show with a professional and cohesive brand presence.

  • The founder entered the show with a polished logo, marketing materials, and a fully functioning website

  • The website is actively capturing email addresses from interested customers, creating a pipeline for future online sales

  • Approximately 50 units from the first production run were sold during the event, validating product demand and market interes
